Approve a resolution directing the City Manager to amend City Code Chapter 4-2 (Alarm Systems) to create a requirement for alarm system installers to verify if an alarm site has an alarm permit, create a verification requirement for burglar alarm monitoring services before the City responds to a burglar alarm, create an in-person conference requirement for alarm permit holders, modify the conditions for which an alarm permit can be revoked, add notification requirements when a permit is revoked, consider programs and policies related to voluntary registration of private security cameras for police access during public safety emergencies; and to review and recommend changes to current policies and procedures to reduce the number of false alerts from burglar and fire alarm systems.
